Training for volunteers who volunteer with children or vulnerable adults – we offer the Derbyshire Passport Scheme.

The Volunteer Passport is continuing to be jointly funded by Commissioning, Communities

and Policy and Adult Social Care and Health for this financial year – April 2020 – March 2021.

FREE training for Derbyshire residents who volunteer or are thinking of volunteering.

The Passport Scheme is a five week course.

Each session will cover a different topic as listed below.

The training and experience of volunteering offers:

  • increased awareness and knowledge about ourselves and others.

  • the opportunity to connect with each other and our communities.

  • the opportunity to give something of ourselves to others.

  • active learning and inclusive involvement.

  • increased opportunities to be curious, observant and aware.

Volunteers are important and support a huge range of activities and services. They support people in Derbyshire in a variety of places including youth groups, adult care homes, sports clubs, befriending services, day centres, residential settings, community groups, wellbeing services, support services and need-specific groups.
