VCI PASSPORT TRAINING
Training for volunteers who volunteer with children or vulnerable adults – we offer the Derbyshire Passport Scheme.
The Volunteer Passport is continuing to be jointly funded by Commissioning, Communities
and Policy and Adult Social Care and Health for this financial year – April 2020 – March 2021.
FREE training for Derbyshire residents who volunteer or are thinking of volunteering.
The Passport Scheme is a five week course.
Each session will cover a different topic as listed below.
The training and experience of volunteering offers:

increased opportunities to be curious, observant and aware.
Volunteers are important and support a huge range of activities and services. They support people in Derbyshire in a variety of places including youth groups, adult care homes, sports clubs, befriending services, day centres, residential settings, community groups, wellbeing services, support services and need-specific groups.
If you want to develop your skills, add new qualifications, brush up on your knowledge, or add to your CV this course is the one for you.

Why you should get a Volunteer Passport
It demonstrates commitment, enthusiasm, awareness and the skills needed to volunteer.
It helps build on previous volunteering, work, life and training experience.
It supports future volunteering, work or training and education opportunities.
At the end of the course volunteers will be awarded a certificate.
